Baltimore Running Festival at the QG over the years

Join us for the Baltimore Running Festival

.

On Saturday October 19th, Baltimore is hosting the Baltimore Running Festival. This is Charm City's 24th year in host the Marathon, Marathon Relay, Half Marathon and 5k. The QG happen to be sitting in the center of racing courses, so if you have an appointment at the QG of a reservation at Clock Restoration and are driving we recommend you study the map to ensure you don't get stuck in traffic due to road closures. Here is a map of the course linked here

We welcome all of the runners, their families, visitors, tourists and of course our regulars and members to come join us this week and on Saturday as we celebrate another milestone and achievement for the athletes and the city. Consider getting a pre marathon massage, an aerodynamic haircut and shave or carbo loading at our speakeasy inspired restaurant and bar, Clock Restoration on the 6th floor of the building. If you are from out of town, and it has been a year since your last visit, we have some changes to share. The QG has been under a reconfiguration and renovations. Our barbershop, our retail store, custom clothing and tailor shop have all moved to the 4th floor. If you have a spa appointment for a massage, facial or waxing, you will also check in on the 4th floor. Clock Restoration is still on the 6th floor and will soon undergo an expansion in the new year. Below is just a small portion of our new 4th floor combination of our retail and barbershop. This is allowing us to make it easier for our guests to experience our one stop shop.

Pre covid, the QG internally participated in the Running Festival. We thought, this would be a good moment to share the photo over the years. When some of us were younger and not as wise (I am speaking about myself), we thought it would be funny to run with suits and dress shoes. After the podiatry, chiropractic and orthopedic bills came in, we decided to go another route. Enjoy!
.
For the first year, I was the guinea pig and managed to use this relay to convince three others who are also not very smart🤣
.
Wyatt Everhart, Craig Martin, Sean O'brien,
and Chris Fiacco
.
Our third year we were joined by Ryan Baker, Sean O'brien and in the picture below Simon Robinson
.
Each of our relays were approximately 7 miles each
.
For the 3rd year, we got the original crew back and we were inspired by the movie Reservoir Dogs.
.
Heading to the starting line!
.
As the medical bills started mounting, a QG t-shirt, sneaker and a relay team that actually trains seemed a better route.
.
We also recruited staff from our Spa, Clock Restoration Bar and Barbershop.
.
No team was recruited this year, but we hope to see you for an appointment, for some shopping and/or for a stop at Clock for a reservation. However after looking at these pictures over the years, it may inspire a comeback for next year.
